Arnica Oil Description:

Arnica Oil has antiseptic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing properties; aids in new tissue growth; eases discomforts of psoriasis; reduces swelling and bruising; facilitates healing after surgery; prevents infection; soothes irritated skin; reduces muscular spasm; facilitates healing of traumatic injury, sore strained joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons; lessens pain; and relieves postpartum discomfort.

Serving Size: Massage into skin Liquid, Massage into skin Per Day

Recommended Arnica Oil : Shake well before using. Massage into skin until well absorbed.

Arnica General Information:

Arnica, a flowering plant, is native to alpine slopes in mountainous regions around the world. This plant was discovered as a European folk remedy by shepherds who pastured their sheep in the mountains. When the sheep fell and bruised themselves, they nibbled on the leaves of the plant. Arnica grows in rocky and mountainous areas where people and animals are most likely to fall and bruise themselves. In the North American colonies it was used as a paint for chilblains when the skin was broken.

Arnica Uses & Scientific Evidence:

Today Arnica Montana is used primarily to relieve the aftereffects of falls, blows, sports injuries and overexertion. Athletes, coaches, and trainers use it to treat a variety of sports injuries. Arnica relieves pain, swelling, and stiffness, and heals bruises caused by physical trauma. Arnica is also used on irritated nasal passages and lips. A compress of Arnica tea can be put on the stomach to relieve abdominal pains. This plant is seldom used internally because of its irritant effect on the stomach.

Arnica Dosage Information:

Apply Arnica to affected area immediately after over-exercising or recovering a minor injury to ward off pain, stiffness, and bruising. Repeated applications may produce severe inflammation so it is best to use only when necessary. If your skin becomes inflamed, discontinue until inflammation is gone.
